Continuation of cover

When my wife died on 5 December 2014, I ended up in hospital in the last week of December. Treatment in the hospital continued into the first week in January. When I cam out of hospital, I had to learn that GEMS has suspended our cover, even though the document in the GEMS web site indicates that unless they receive a letter from us indicating that we want to cancel. My wife was the main member and I was the main dependent. According to the GEMS website documents the cover should have continued. This was incredibly insensitive of GEMS since they did not contact me, and I was in ICU! The eldest dependant (if no spouse is registered as a dependant) will then be registered as the main member (adult dependant rates then apply). Normally the Estate is responsible for the monthly payments.<br> <br> GEMS violated it!
