Communication is NIL NIL NIL

I was referred to eye specialist, floater which affected my vision. Diagnosed and scheduled for cataract surgery. I had to obtain approval from Gems and informed by Gems the procedures is covered by PMB. I had the surgeries and my copayment to the specialist and anesthetist is R20000..I wrote in March x3 and April x2.....NO RESPONSE FROM GEMS. Acknowledged yes with query numbers. NO ANSWERS.. I WAS ALSO REFERRED TO SKIN SPECIALIST....result cancer and REFERRED to a plastic surgeon for consultation and biopsies for Monday 4th May. This is serious and again I called GEMS.The procedures again are covered on PMB and the surgeon must write a memo to GEMS to register for cancerous growths. My wife is the main member who received a 3.9% increase and GEMS increased deductions in excess of 28%..I am benefit no 01 who does not receive a pension. The burden on her is huge. GEMS WERE BRILLIANT WHEN I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH IPF AND SUBSIDIZED MY MEDICATION.....THANKFUL FOR THAT..However I am financially concerned when they state PMB BENEFIT BUT NOT REALLY.
