Co-payments and none payments from this medical aid are becoming an issue.

Its disturbing that a medical aid wouldn't pay a full hospitalization payment, you are left with certain amounts to pay. It doesn't make sense to have co payments for hospitalization. Flora clinic where I was hospitalized charged me with a bill of ~R36000 and medical aid only paid ~R34000 and I had to R1800 out of pocket. Yet I still pay my personal contribution every month from my pension payment of about R2075. Which sometimes they say I am in arrears and have to pay more in April,May and June of R2656 which I have done. Again in April when I went to see a doctor medical did not pay the blood tests the doctor did. I had to pay R900 out of my own pocket.. When the claim was forwarded to medical aid. I was given no reason as to why I had to pay out of pocket. Yet again on 9 June whilst being an outpatient my doctor requested a blood test at Lancet the bill was also not paid. I have submitted that claim to the medical aid of R520. Is this the way you deal with outpatient? That bill is still not paid. Every month I end up paying above my medical contribution. This trend is disturbing particularly in this adverse economic climate we are facing.
