CHRONIC MEDICATION NOT DISPENSED ALMOST 2 MONTHS LATER

I emailed a 65 year old patient's prescription to Gems chronic dsp 25 May 2023. This particular patient called me to say that she spent R100.00 from her pension on calls to Gems only to be told that the prescription was not received therefore no medication dispensed even though I received reference numbers once emailed. I phoned spoke to a consultant who confirmed receipt. He would then transfer me to another person to dispense the medication only to be told there is NO prescription on hand as they have not received it from the correspondence department!! CLEARLY Gems is not coping and not communicating and the members are bearing the brunt.
