Change practice nr

We changed from an individual practice nr *** to a group practice nr *** from 1 January 2016. We sent a new contract directly to Gems. It seems that this contract went missing. We sent a second contract by courier on 8 February 2016 to Saroj Govender at Mescheme Woodstock. She confirmed that she received the contract and sent it immediately by intern courier to GEMS. We phoned Saroj and GEMS several times, but could not talk directly to someone at the contract-department. This afternoon we received a letter by email from GEMS that our contract is accepted, but only from 1 March. GEMS will only pay 70% of our claims from the period 1 January till today. We cannot claim the 30% from the patients as it is lower income patients and they will not have the money to pay us. As part of the contract, the practice also gave medicines to the patients (inclusive to consultation), now the doctors will loose this money too.
