I am a widow and i only qualified for my late husband subsidy last year. He was a member of GEMS. I was unable to afford GEMS PREMIUMS and i took Disvovery through my employer because there was subsidy. I app**** gor GEMS to utilize the benefit of my late husband. I was told to cancel my membership as i cant have 2 membership. I called yesterday to check the status because i app**** since last year November. GEMS Agent told me that i have to pay where my husband left. My late husband passed on i 2012 and that i am not eligible because i am not a Government employee. I have to reinstate my Discovery membership and will be on waiting period because the Discovery Membership was cancelled in January. I am chronic and i was paying my medication for past months waiting for them to activate my membership. There was no correspondence stating that i dont qualify. I am very much unhappy about their service because they didn't explain to me from the onset
