GELUKSVLEI GASTEPLAAS 3,5 KM FROM TSEKAMA WEDDING VENUE

We arrived on the Saturday receiving our room key …asking the question if all is safe around the lodge – were told no Issues , We noticed …….NO security , No remote gates , easy target for wanderers knowing guest stay over on weekends . We left the Lodge at 14h15 that afternoon …LOCKED our unit door .. In the unit we left both my husband and I cellphone ( no cell phone reception at lodge or venue ) , no Reason to tag it along . Returning from the wedding at 02h30 in the morning , to only found that our Room was unlocked , ( no break in ) and both cellphones ****** ..door locked again ! PRETTY MUCH SOUNDS LIKE AN INSIDE JOB When we arrived the Saturday , we were told , should we experience any issue , we can contact the owners at any time , they will assist any time …WELLLLLL , on Sunday morning , we had once huge Struckle / effort to get hold of any of the two owners . We had to go back to the wedding venue , to try to get some help ! ** A BIG STAR TO TSEKAMA WEDDING VENUE ..SO FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL Eventually 2 hours later , we got hold of one of the owners , who said they will meet as at Geluksvlei ..what a bad experience ..the owner straight away told us ….his exact words …. We live in South-Africa …take care of your stuff .

We realize that , but I thougth to bring 2 things to future potential customers … • BE AWARE – locking your door at Geluksvlei , does not keep your belongings safe • In todays environment of farm ******s and crime – how easy would it not have been for someone to await my husband and I that night , and be attacked , seen that nobody was looking after the place , and keys are obviously not in safe keep , and landed in the wrong hands .
