On 05-September-2016 I went to Gearlocks 2000cc in order for them to repair my anti-hijacking / alarm /central locking unit. The batteries in the remotes were flat and they needed to be resynced with the alarm. (My husband contacted FoxGuard and they confirmed that the remotes only need to be resynced) First they tried to tell me that the unit has been tampered with, I told them they are lieing because the car was parked in a garage the whole time, then they said the unit is faulty, but it is also a lie because I was still able to override the unit by doing the override procedure with the ignition and the anti-hijacking button. They just tried to sell me a new system at a cost of R2500. Upon arrival at them I was informed that the unit was removed, without my permission and they wanted to charge me R350 for doing it. I refused to pay them and they threatened to keep my car until I paid them. I could only pay R210 because that is the only money I have. Now my car is totally without a system. Please do not buy anything from these people !!!
