Geabox and diff Country-owner (robbie) is a con, ***** and ****!

I had my car taken in to GEARBOX AND DIFF COUNRTY where the owner, Robbie said he would fix my Gearbox and would take him max 2 weeks to get fixed. I took the car to his workshop in November 2016. After 2 weeks of having the car at his workshop we heard nothing from Robbie. We decided to call him and check on the car, he then advised that he has alot of work to do and would still be busy with the car give it a week or two. Two weeks then went by with no word from Robbie. It approached the festive season in December where workshops and businesses would shut down for the festive and became quite worried that our car would still not get fixed on time and empty promises made that our gearbox would get fixed this Friday. From one excuse to another, after a few months of up and down with Robbie, we decided to get out laywers involved as this seemed like it was going nowhere. After bringing the laywers in, this had no impact on having the car fixed as soon as possible. Eventually after about 1 year the gearbox was finally fixed and Robbie promising that it would be just another 2 days to get the car up and running. There was an oil leak, checking this and that, he advised that it looked like the flywheel broke on the car and it would cost R4800 that we would have to fork out. Not forgetting the R16 000 paid for the job which we had to pay upfront once the job began, although he wanted the full R21500 upfront before the job would be completed. I told him we would pay R16 000 now and the rest once the car is fixed. He took the gearbox out and checked it when he quoted us before the fixing began and knew what he was getting himself into. We decided to buy the flywheel which he then promised would be just a day or so to put in and the car could get fixed. They test drove the car and the oil issue was still there. Another week or so went by before telling us it was the Mecatronic that's broken but Robbie advise he will try and get the part fixed. Waiting another month or two with no word from Robbie which we could not get hold of every time we called from day 1 and had to liase with his PA when calling became a very frustrating ordeal! We eventually told our laywers how he had conned us with thousands of rands would like to get this part ourselves and finish the job, which his PA emailed to say we could collect the broken Mecatronic part and get it ourselves. I told the laywers that i will not be settling the outstanding amount and should not be liable to pay for the Mechatronic which would cost about R6000. We could not find the part after 3 months for looking for this part and eventually found a full box with Mechatronic for R15000. We got an email yesterday from Pier (Robbies PA) which was forwarded from our laywer to say that we would need to come and settle the R5500 outstanding and tow our car from the workshop, 30 Neal street in Sidwell by COB or they will start charging storage fees. I have never met a crock and **** like Robbie in my life! I am appalled that we have people like him in this world. I went to fetch my car this morning so we can just get my car from this man and to not want see him for the rest of my LIFE!!! We had struggled without a vehicle for over a year, and that was our only means of transport. I WANT TO WARN EVERYONE IN THE PORT ELIZABETH AREA TO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO GEARBOX AND DIFF COUNRTY OR GET INVOLVED WITH ROBBIE!!! We have collected our car today with parts missing from our car and parts that were damaged while on his premises, i told him i will not be paying the full outstanding amount and he told me i could pay him R3500 and we could tow the car. We eventually agreed so we could just get my car from this man! He said he would look for the missing parts. If the parts are not recovered i will report this as THEFT! I PLEA TO ALL, DO NOT GO TO GEARBOX AND DIFF COUNTRY! THE OWNER IS A CON AND WILL TAKE THOUSANDS OF RANDS FROM YOU WITHOUT THE JOB BEING DONE!
