Consistently produce incorrect commercial invoices

I did not even know what a commercial invoice was 5 months ago. Since then I have discovered that this simple document is such a vital document for importers. The main reason is that SARS customs really intensely study this document when your shipping consignment lands here. It seems they mostly steer away from the big importers that seems to have standardised the practise of under-declaring the value of the goods that appears on the commercial invoice. The problem is just like a drug-mule you as a normal person are a plant set up to be ensnared in this malicious trap.

Upon discovery what pain and suffering such an incorrect commercial invoice can cause you, you kindly ask or cajole the supplier, Gearbest in this case, to kindly produce and affix to the shipped parcel, the correct and accurate commercial invoice. Guess what? They just don't comply and when complaining e.g submitting a ticket, they say sorry, kindly take this "new" invoice that we generated, and forward it to your courier or possibly customs. It sounds like that it may work but in practise it really doesn't seem to play out, most of the time you are unable to reach a knowledgeable person at the courier company to effect the changes. Of course, submitting the correct invoice, usually involves higher duties and taxes.

So why doesn't Gearbest just generate the correct invoice from the word go? Naturally the answer is that the established and big importers ask them to under-declare, so that they can pay much less duties and taxes. This is *******. Yet this practise persists and SARS customs conveniently seem to hound the unaware small guys that just imports a few electronic goods or other items mostly for personal use. Not fami**** with the dark world of imports and the arcane laws of duties and such, they become the perfect sacrificial lambs to pursue to get the easy money.
