Worst experience ever. Joined GDE on an internship programme. 12 month contract, ending 31 May 2023. Towards the end of April while enquiring on when will my salary be paid due to the long we end and the 30th falling in a Sunday. To my surprise I found out that my contract expiry date was captured incorrectly on the system. They captured 31/03/2023 instead of 31/05/2023. They claim it’s a mistake however I don’t believe so because till now I haven’t received my salary for April. When I follow up it’s a different story everyday. There’s word that eGov normally does this and interns never get their salary and nothing has been done about this. I am yet to see whether I will get my salary for May. It’s so sad because they are messing with our emotional well-being. So sad to work and not get paid while the person that made this mistake get their full salary month end and they don’t care about us.
