Happy at Zambezi Heights, But Deeply Frustrated with GCT Wallet Deductions

I’ve had a great experience with Central Developments overall. They are professional and responsive, and I truly enjoy living at Zambezi Heights—the complex is well-maintained, safe, and a pleasant place to call home.

However, the biggest and ongoing issue is with their electricity vendor, GCT.

I recently deposited R500 into my GCT wallet, only to find that R370 and R150 were deducted without any explanation or communication. I did not authorise any additional transactions, and no breakdown was provided for these charges.

I reached out to GCT directly, and unfortunately, they were unable to explain what happened and showed no willingness to assist or resolve the issue. The lack of accountability and poor customer service is extremely disappointing.

This kind of practice is unacceptable, especially considering the high rental payments already being made. It creates unnecessary stress and makes tenants feel completely unsupported.

While I remain happy with Central Developments and my experience at Zambezi Heights, I would not recommend this development to others unless they change their electricity vendor. GCT’s unprofessional handling of billing and wallet deductions has seriously affected the overall experience.

I truly hope this issue is addressed and resolved as soon as possible.
