<p>My company responded to an advert on gumtree for secondhand Inflatable boats for sale at R 5000 per boar complete. We requested that we would like to buy 6 boats, but might be interested in all the boats if they are in good condition. Gawie requested a deposit to keep the boats for us. R 20 000.00 deposit was paid. Gawie gave a date to view as it was the last day that his storage was available. I informed Gawie that we will not make it and he said he doesn't have money to pay for storage. We agreed that we will pay storage. We made contact with Gawie to set up a time for collection, but the nuber that was advertised just kept on ringing. When we phoned from a dferent number he answered immidiatly, but hang up when we introduced ourselves... </p> <p>On the 10 March we noticed a new advert on gumtree from the same person, same photo... same boats. </p> <p> </p> <p>Endless phone calls no response. I then got one of my employees to send a response via gumtree... and he responded... upon request for our deposit back he said he does not have it... and he only have 3 boats left - short from what we paid for... another friend contacted him and request to buy the boats, a date and time was set up to view the 3 boats!</p> <p> </p>
