Over 25mins stuck in the lift no paramedics!
on the 7th March I took a train at 8am from Park Station, at 8:08 am I was at the Sandton station. I got off and headed for the lifts, the first lift that goes between B3 and B8 was off services so we opted for the middle lift. We got on and it was clear we were a bit overload but the warning beep for an overload lift didn't go off. The lift proceeded to go down to B9, obviously it was full and people in that platform couldn't come in, the doors closed and just at that moment instead of the lift pulling up its as if the cable gave in and started slipping down B9 and kept doing that for a few seconds then stopped. Everyone screaming from panic, we hit the emergency button to call the service centre instead of a person answering we got an automated response\ your request has been noted\" three times before someone assisted. The lady could'nt keep people calm all she could tell us was that they were calling in a technician, they were also not sure how long it would take. Pregnant and panicked waited in a lift with no air coming in for over 25mins before the lift was sorted. Coming out of the lift there were no PARAMEDICS or a healthcare professional to take care of us seeing as anythin"
