Horrified Commuter

For the past two weeks the commuters at the Hatfield station have been requested to switch their vehicle ignitions on and off when exiting the parking area. I initially thought it would be a once of exercise but it has been continuing.

So I brougt it under the attention of the security if he understood the dynamics of a motor vehicle that when the ignition is switched on and off like that it has the potential of damaging the ignition. The security confirmed that they understood that that is indeed a possibility. So I asked them with you instructing me to switch off and on my ignition and if it starts giving problems who will be liable for the damages and who will pay for the repairs? Patrick Ndlovu answered me by saying if I do not like it I can park outside in the street. Nice answer Patrick but do you understand the statement you made and various rights that I have which you just infringed? My individual as a person and my property rights which you have infrindged. So without being an ass about it I asked for the manager ao they called Ernest Mtashava and I asked him the same question and Ernest said that it is a new procedure. So i want to know as it appears that the Gauteain Hatfield does not give a rats ass about the commuters rights and property rights nor give a rats ass about the commuters concerns. I asked Ernest what will happen if each of these vehicles ignitions give problems because of your lazyness and inability to implement another procedure to ensure that safety of our vehicles and Ernest said that all these people will need to pay for their own damages. So what I want to understand is how can the security management and their staff not consider the property rights and individual rights that each of us as commuters have and just decide to neglect that. How is they expect me to pay for security of my vehicle and at the same time expect me to damage my vehicle on their request abd pay for the damages afterwards. How do you justify stupiditu such as that. Clearly you do not give a **** about the commuters nor their rights or concerns. Gautrain and its staff are failing their supporters and commuters. You need to find another of ensuring you have our best interest at heart coz i clear cannot belief the arrogance of the response I received. There is no way I can pay for security and at the same time have my vehicle damanged by your stupid security protocols. Gautrain needs to look into this URGENTLY before we commence with logging claims with the relevant authorities for negligence. This is a warning to all and a eye opener for all that the Gautrain is bull****ing all of you at this point in time
