Gautrain Sucks

Hi Based on the resent spate of failures of Gautrain the following: 1. Gautrain is NOT a 24 hour service. It is a pain. What do they do between 21:00 and 05:30. 2. While they not working they are also not checking there lines. With all the issues on the line surely the best to do is to have a test train run the full line at say 03:00. Now they always get the surprise at 05:30 when they open the stations. 3. There SMS system does not work, they do not communicate - period. It is a lie of note! We are all registered but you either receive nothing or two days later. 4. No communication and then you hit the RSA problem of rude, extremely bad service with a clueless staff. They also do not even try to find out what is going on! 5. They only have TWO lines and basically 4 trains at any given time to manage and the CANNOT even get that right! But they want to expand the line. Get the basics right then we talk again! 6. The the worst of all is there claim that they are 98% on time. That is a blatant lie. Up time is measured as a function of the total system. Thus it include the buses and everything in teh system. Nowhere in the world do a authority claim only a portion of the system, BUT in RSA we do! 7. Gautrain is not public transport. The only way you can use it is if you can drive to the train station, hope it works and work close to the station on the other end. To commute, DOES NOT work. I have tried and it just do not work!
