Gautrain Service Post Strike is unacceptable

I bought my monthly Gautrain ticket from Marboro to Centurion on the 13th of July 2018 which consisted of 44 trips. I last used the train on the 27th of July 2018 and had 22 trips remaining. The Gautrain strike started on the 30th of June 2018 and the strike only ended on the 15th of August 2018. I went to the Marlboro Station this morning, the 16th of August 2018 to find my 22 remaining trips will expire on the 26th of August 2018, meaning that I will loose 8 trips. I then called the help desk only to find out that I will have to wait for my trips to expire, then I will have to request a refund. This is unacceptable as I have not budgeted for the extract funds I had to fork out to get to work whilst the Strike was on. Now I have to pay extra after my 8 trips have expired just to wait for a refund. Gautrain should just extend the days on peoples cards for the number of days that the strike was on for. This is totally bad service and making it the peoples problem, for things they don't know how to handle properly.
