Gautrain Refund Contradictions and misleading information.

I am in possession of 4 cards that I purchased over the since the inception of the Gautrain. When I finally found at that a registered card could be bought and the values on the "Pay as you go cards" refunded, I promptly registered. When I enquired about the way in which the value will refunded, I was advised through the customer care centre that this can only be done at a station and a refund form needed to be filled out.

Since I had to collect my registered card anyway I made my way to Sandton Station and arrive at 11:40 on the 19/05/2016. I purchased my new registered card for R14. I provided my old cards to the agent and once values were checked was told, 1 card had expired so there was nothing I could with it, 1 card had R3 and the other two R80 odd. I asked for the money to be transfer to the new card. I was then told that this could not be done and I needed to provide proof of having loaded the money onto the cards for the refund to take place and that a R40 administration fee will be charged on top of that.

Really disappointed, I will never use the Gautrain ever again. Seems like such a ****. Not customer centric at all.

here is a link to the refund procedure which is in direct contradiction to what I was told at the station

http://join.gautrain.co.za/Assets/Download/Refund-Procedure-Aug-14.pdf
