Gautrain gouging
I spend upwards of R2400 on Gautrain every month commuting between Sandton and Centurion. on 22 July, 2018 I got a lift back to Joburg to attend a meeting with a work colleague. After the meeting I Ubered back to Sandton station to collect my car. I was charged R100 for 5 hours parking because I hadn’t traveled back to Jozi on the train. Why does that make a difference? All it takes is one train trip to need to park your car at the station. This is known as gouging your consumers! When I disputed this at the ticket booth I was told the supervisor was not authorised to deal with this kind of dispute! But then why have a supervisor?
