Gautrain Card

My daughter who studies at UP and commutes daily using Gautrain went to top up her card, the transaction went through however, the funds did not reflect in the Gautrain card.

She lodged a query online, submitted all the documents required and was informed to wait for 10 days.

What happens in the meantime as she waits for the query to be attended to? Must she stop attending her classes and wait the entire 10 days? What if she was writing exams, how was she meant to get to travel? Buy another card and load more money?

I'm disturbed on how the process works especially for daily commuters.
