Do Not Use Gauteng Pools
ol wasMy swimming pools was flooded by the storm on Monday 9 October 2017. I ocntacted Gauteng Pools to undertake cleaning and replacement of Filter Sand as recommended by them.
They arrived on Friday 13 October to due the cleaning etc . This and the replacement of the filter sand was completed on Friday afternoon.
Saturday morning 14th after topping up my pool overnight I commenced with connecting the automatic cleaner, It work for about an hour then stopped. To my dismay I saw that the weir basket and the bottom of my po full of new filter sand.
I contacted Thulani from Gautng Pools and he advised that his employee must have broken the fingers in the filter. He would attempt to come through later in the day but more likely on Sunday at 11am. I received a sms from him stating that his employee had been ****** and could not attend to my pool. He then advised he would come at 9am on Monday. I said could he not do it himself as I could not take more time off work. He advised he would not do the job himself and it was my problem if I had to take further time off work. We then agreed to 9am on Monday. At 10:25 am I queried his whereabouts and he advised he was sorting out his car and would let me know 30 minutes before he leaves for my house. He eventually responded at 19:25 that he had a small crisis and would see me today Tuesday at 2pm. I have sent him 10 messages and made 8 phone calls - no response at all.
I unfortunately paid him R3150 for the work undertaken and am now left with a swimming pool totally unoperational.
My concern is that he refuses to contact me in return and has not met any of his commitments.
He further stated that he would repair the filter - I believe that this cannot be repaired and needs replacement (i maybe wrong).
