GCRA becomes ghost town when payments are to be made.

My son got approved for a full bursary in January 2025 as he formed part of the top 3 students of his school. Up until today no payment has been made. When you call their office numbers *** / *** / ***) no one answers. And when someone answers they will tell you that they can't hear your line is bad and advise you to drop the call and phone back. When you do that you are guaranteed not to be answered again. The cell phone no provided in the text will at times answer and ask you to send a sms with the details she will get back to you. After that also turns into a ghost town. Same with their email address (***) you will send emails till you blue in the face with no response or acknowledgement. GCRA is one pathetic service provider. How do you give someone the hope that their studies, accommodation, travel and laptop allowance is covered but just vanish without a trace. We in the month of May already this has caused so much financial strain on us as the parents as we are fully dependent on this bursary but GCRA seems to have become a ghost town now. I would not recommend anyone to apply for a GCRA bursary this is the worst thing you can do. You genuinely have to make calls each and everyday to no avail. It's very frustrating having to deal with GCRA
