Be wary of GAU Appliance Repairs...not reliable and take a call out fee for doing nothing!

I have a problem with my ELBA oven which I knew was the thermostat as I couldn't control the temperature it was cooking on. It was a Saturday morning when I noticed the problem as I wanted to bake a cake for my husband's birthday. I googled "oven repairs" and GAU Appliance Repairs came up, so I gave them a call. They said they would have a technician come out to me right away, and they also promised that they service all brands! A tech named Subusiso contacted me and asked me about the oven, I sent him pictures of the oven and also told him its definitely the thermostat, so I asked if he could bring the part along when he comes through to repair. Yes, no problem ma'am. It was several hours later that afternoon when two guys showed up at my house, they looked at the oven and told me the thermostat has gone (which I knew already) and then he proceeded to tell me that they won't be able to get the parts they need until Tuesday the following week at the earliest, but I have to pay the R400 call out fee in the interim. That was over a week ago! I followed up on Wednesday, then again today (Monday) to see where they are with the parts. Oh no, they can't find the parts but they promised to get it today. That's when I decided to phone around myself for the parts, and lo and behold, ELBA South Africa have the parts and they are much cheaper than what this guy quoted me on. (!!) It seems a very easy business model to take the R400 call-out fee to tell a customer what they know already and promise to "get back to them" with parts and then conveniently not be able to find the parts... Be wary of these people! GAU APPLIANCE REPAIRS.
