Wrong price on shelf

I went to purchase Lego game for my kids at Wespack lifestyle Centurion, the product had two prices, one was R84.99 and R169.00, and at the counter was R329.00 after speaking to the manager he said they got a scanning policy and refuse to give me the price that was on the shelves and to show that something was wrong, it was more than 6 products on the shelf and he shows no sympathy about it or no signs of being sorry and I said to him that the price you see is the price you pay and then he told me about the bar codes were not the same.

My self as a client i was looking at the price not at the codes. I end up buying something which i was not looking for and not budgeted for. How can a big shop like that treat clients like we don't know anything about retail. The worst part he never even bothered to change the price om the shelf. He just wish me a good day which is not what I was looking for.
