Lost/****** bag at Gatesville Medical Centre
On 30th April my aunt was admitted from the Trauma division of Gatesville Medical Centre to the Ward.
The evening of the 30th I personal took her a bag with her cosmetics, chronic medication, PJ's, spectacles and extra clothes. I could not deliver the bag to the ward due to Covid 19 restrictions and was told to hand it over to the people at the securtiy desk and they will ensure that it gets to the ward.
On the 1st I learnt that my aunt had not received her bag. I called the hospital and they said they will look into it and call me back. The afternoon of the 1st, I went to the hospital to follow up the matter because no one called me back. One of the lady's at the entrance, Carol ****eman kindly tried to help me. She ran around trying to get the right people to assist me after they went searching for the bag that could not be traced anywhere. one and a half hours later she got the matron, is Badden in charge to come chat to me. She advised that the lady who accepted the bag in the ward was off duty for the weekend but was not answering her phone but they will keep trying and call me back.
2nd: Spoke to Balanie (Security in charge of camera room); she checked the camera and confirmed that they have seen on camera, that I have handed in the bag but they need to investigate further. After waiting another hour, Sis Nazlie, came to advise me that they will call me back on Monday.
Monday 4th: Sis Baden called to to let me know that Mr Hendricks will be contacting me regarding the missing bag.
6th: I called in again. Spoke to Sis Laytus who advised that Mr Hendricks is our to office but she will get him to call me back.
I was sent back ward and forward for weeks no with no success. Shehaam in Client Services has been talking to me with so much empty promises....... the mysterious Mr Hendricks has still not made contact with me.
on 1st June, Shehaam requested that I email her a list of what was in the bag together with the replacement costs and she will take it up with their head office.
On the 4th I followed up with Shehaam who advised Sis Laytus was very ill and was not able to attend to the matter but I can email the head office directly.
On the 4th I immediately forwarded my mail to the email address Shehaam gave me....... To cut a long story short, to date, 15 June, I have not yet heard from anyone.
I am lost for words, what unprofessional service is this? Not one person is able to assist me with this query.
How can this be?
