Irresponsible, Careless, Wreckless.

This is not a hospital. It’s a business that just uses people and their medical aid funds to generate an income. I was admitted the 28th March 2020 at 01:30 am. I had contractions and because my previous birth was done via ceasarian, my second birth had to be done the same... The night nurse connected me to the machine which monitored my baby’s heartbeat... everything was fine. She filled in the paperwork and left the room, cane back and informed me that my gynea was on her way and once she gets there I will be taken to theatre. I laid and waited and at about 3:30/04:00 am the heart monitor makes a funny sound and I knew then that something was wrong... the night nurse comes in and puts off the machine and tells me to stop stressing as I am ‘making my baby stress’... immediately I knew and remembered that the sound it made was an indication of my baby going into distress as I have experienced it with my first pregnancy. Anyway... as I waited for my ‘EMERGENCY’ procedure to take place from approximately 02:00 am until 05:00 I was anxious.. the time came and I was wheeled into theatre ... the anesthesiologist couldn’t find the ‘right place’ to insert the needle into my back... it took him approximately 5/6 tries until eventually he got the needle into my spine. My baby was removed by 06:00 am and unfortunately on the 29th March 2020 my baby died. The peadiatrician explained that he saw the baby had gone into distress and deciding to do an EMERGENCY c-section was a good idea... it didn’t seem like it was being treated as an EMERGENCY! My baby unfortunately suffocated... when I was mailed the bill it said ‘Birth Asphyxia’ ... it could’ve been before, during or after birth or due to the anesthesia... according to the research I’ve done... I would never recommend this hospital to anyone. I lost a healthy baby. He was the biggest baby in icu. This hospital can not replace my child and cannot fill the big hole in my heart. But please be careful when going there .
