Gas Mate - Joanie Marie Sellar

We used Joanie-Marie Sellar from Gas Mate for a gas installation at the beginning of December 2020. And I strongly discourage you all from using her services as she is so quick to raise an invoice but fails on issuing a certificate of compliance (COC) timeously which is necessary for insurance purposes as soon as possible.

Today is the 25 June 2021, nearly a year down and we are still waiting on her. We have contacted her on numerous occasions and each time is an empty promise "we will get back to you". Between my husband and myself, we have loss count on these excuses.

When I confronted her about this, she addressed me in a condescending tone by addressing me as "Listen my dear Jennifer...". She also said I am carrying on as if the gas installation was never done. That's besides the point, she won't accept any liability at all if anything were to happen. Insurance won't pay, then who will?

I have now learnt that she has also contravened the by-laws knowing that her installer was yet to go on an refresher course at the time of the installation to renew his certification to even issue the COC. She failed to disclose this when we paid her the money.
