Vivosmart HR watch absolutely terrible, THE NOT SO SMART WATCH

Garmin is a great brand and one that I have been using for years I even have some of their first GPS that they brought out about 20 years ago. I am sad to say that I will not purchase from them again, it is a product that I am sure they pride themselves on being super reliable and have the ability to handle all terrains. I have had the misfortune of having 2 of there watches in just over a year firstly the Vivofit which broke within 3 months, the screen froze up and stopped working. This was then replaced with a Vivosmart HR which I was incredibly happy with until about a month ago when the screen cracked while I was playing golf and has just been getting progressively worse as time goes on. Now to top it off my strap has also given in and broken. For me this is absolutely crazy as these watches are sold to the general consumer with the pretense that they are sporting watches and should be able to handle all extreme conditions, otherwise they should just be selling them as fashion accessories to go with your Guess Jeans and fancy hand bag.

Now to top it off I have given the call center a call and they refuse to help, they have offered me a new watch at a slightly reduced price and said that the warranty is now void because the screen is cracked. When I argued the fact the sales consultant just asked me if I bought the watch with a cracked screen, if not then they sold me something that works and there is nothing they can do.

Garmin SA if your product cant handle the heat please don't sell them as sporting watches.
