Vivosmart Hr+ - faulty - exchange and another faulty device

<p>I bought a Garmin Vivosmart hr+ on Takealot. The unit started to malfunction, in that floors climbed disappeared after a while during the day, and the move bar appear, I walked until it was cleared, and 2 min later it appeared again, only supposed to appear after 50 – 60min of inactivity. I exchanged the product for another, received on the Friday, wore it, that night I turned on the backlight, it started to flicker continuously, I had to turn down the light. I had 56min of intensive minutes logged. The next day the 56min disappeared and the backlight was fine – and then midday the backlight started to flicker again and once again I sent the product back to Takealot – this time not wanting an exchange. The product is supposed to be waterproof and of good quality – and had 2 faulty devices. This is really bad for a brand that is supposed to be trusted. For the amount of money one pay for such a device, one hopes that it will last for at least some years. A friend bought a fitbit charge 2 the same day - and his is still working - even after accidently showering with it - and its only supposed to be splashproof. Seems like that might be the way to go. </p>
