Unreliable devices and pathetic customer service

Being an avid runner I elected to spend a fairly large sum of money on purchasing what I perceived to be the pinnacle of running watches, the Garmin 6X Pro back in October 2019. After much research I elected to go with the top of the range Garmin as I wanted reliability and uncompromised quality. I was very impressed with the device which served me well for 23 months at which time it developed a few issues. I handed it in at Cape Union Mart on 4th November 2021, paid the R200 courier fee and waited. On 20th November 2021 I received notification that the device was irreparable and that I could get a replacement device for R 3419 which I reluctantly paid. A few months later I noticed the new device started doing the same as the first device namely, the battery started going flat in about half the usual time and would sometime go from 70% to battery flat auto off in a minute. I could also no longer download my activities as I could not connect to the device (by BT or cable).

I went back to Cape Union Mart and handed the device in on 16th August 2022. It is now 19th September and after having spent R16 618 thus far I sit without any device. In what world is it acceptable to wait 6 weeks for some feedback? This tells me that Garmin have such a backlog of faulty devices that they cannot cope with the repairs and we as the customers must just be patient. When you follow up on the status of your device you get told that it takes 4 - 6 weeks, sorry, that is not acceptable customer service.
