Throw Away your watch because the strap is broken!!

I bought a Garmin Fr60 5 years ago. Still excellent condition been using it for running. The strap is broken. I want to replace it but I cannot because it is "old". Now I can throw away the perfect working order watch because of a broken strap??

I phone the Garmin Service Centre - guess what, the phone at ********** but once I select to talk to the operator the phone just goes to music - waited 12 minutes to no avail and gave it up.

Please advise, I need a watch replacement ASAP and my next option will NOT be Garmin.
