Shocking Service and Solutions for a Garmin Forerunner device with a recurring issue. Not on!
I have been having a constantly recurring issue with the Garmin Forerunner 35 that I have and every single time, Garmin SA tells me to reset my device to factory settings and when I do, I lose valuable data and that's annoying as heck. On Saturday, 2nd November, I did my first full marathon at Kaapsehoop and did extremely well. The watch recorded the run - but ZERO Steps and no other data apart from the km's, the pace, cadence and heart rate zone - it was immensely frustrating. Now the watch won't even sync daily steps at all. I have had this same issue for months now and all they do is the same - tell me to reset it. I have constant issues with ******* data, no syncing of my activity and believe me, as a runner and fitness enthusiast, it is immensely annoying. I am questioning their device integrity and their value of customer service and retention and I would like this resolved in a better way than "reset your device" - I am constantly losing data and records and it is not on. I am looking at a new device, but if this is how things go, should I really stick with Garmin?
