Pathetic after care service
I sent my Garmin Vivomove HR in for repairs Monday 19th February, i received a pro forma invoice today of R5319.30 for a watch that i paid R3300 for, can they make it make sense to me? I will never EVER support Garmin again.

29 Feb 2024, 10:19This is their feedback: Sorry to learn of the watch being faulty. Garmin fitness devices come with a One Year Limited Warranty. The quotation you have received to replace your device is an offer known as the fixed repair rate offer, this is a globally standardised offer you will receive when returning a failed device for service to Garmin for which the warranty has lapsed, this exceeds both the industry standard and consumer protection legislation requirements for our locale.
My response: Thank you for your email, the reason I only noticed the fault recently is I pitched a Hauwei watch on the 15 June 2021 and never wore my Garmin since it has been stored for the past 2 and a half years when I tried is on week before last I noted the problem. I cannot pay that price for a new watch, and I will not pay the price for a new watch not after the after care service Garmin has to offer. I went and I checked the Reviews regarding the Vivomove HR and many people have had the same problem so it means I am not the only one who experienced that. So for R3300 it means the watch only has a 1 year life span? *for a renowned brand such as Garmin I am totally taken aback by the quality of the watches being sold. I am going to escalate this matter until it has been resolved.
I sent other clients complaints regarding the same issue.

The device was registered 5 years ago unfortunately we wont be able to replace the device in warranty .
Garmin device carry a 1 year limited warranty from date of purchase ,we will escalate the matter to management .
For the amount of money the watch was should it not be of great quality? I sent them screenshots of numerous clients with the same issue and this is the response i get.
