I Bought 4 Garmin GPS watches from Trappers Trading Tzaneen and Polokwane through the years. The Garmin XT 310 started giving me problems with one off the knobs you have to press to do certain functions. During this year I went to Trappers store in Tzaneen and ask them to send it to Garmin to be fixed. After a month of so, Trappers phoned me and informed me that Garmin told them they cannot fix it, but I can buy another model with discount. I Was very angry, because they were unable to fix it and I got it back from Trappers . Also during this year both my forerunner 210 watches started giving problems with the battery only lasting 1 hour and then runs flat. Strange it was that both started the same problem at the same time. I send the one also from Trappers Tzaneen and after a couple of weeks received news from them that Garmin cant replace the batteries, but that I can buy another newer version, also with so called discount. Again I was very angry and upset. I send the other forerunner 210 from Cape Union Mart Tzaneen, to see what the outcome were, and I again received the same answer, that they cant fix it. My question is having bought 4 watches from Garmin , the XT 310, 2 Fore runners 210 and the only one still working, which is a forerunner 230,heaven knows when it will stop working also and then to advice me to buy 3 other models, which is a lot of money. I don't think it is acceptable and I am seriously looking to buy other brands with much better service. Shame on you Garmin, I will spread this bad news to all my horse endurance friends, so they know what is going on
