Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music
I bought my Garmin Vivoactive 3 music in 2019. 8 months later, my watch stopped working. I took it in and the whole watch was replaced with a limited 90 warranty. Just a few days after the 90 days was up, the vibration on the watch stopped working again (the same problem as before). I was told I would have to pay to replace the watch. I decided to live without the feature - although frustrating.
Less than a year after receiving my replacement watch, the entire watch stopped working - heart rate monitor froze, step count stopped, gps not registering. I could not use the watch at all
I took it in to be repaired to be told it was not repairable and I had to pay R2500 for a replacement model. So what choice did I have - you can't get a watch with the same features for less? So I paid the amount only to receive an entirely different colour watch to the one I had (with no prior communication that the watch I originally had was no longer in stock). Any one who has spent time and money finding their perfect fitness watch will know that the colour is important too.
I was hugely disappointed with Garmin's communication and service. When I told them about the wrong colour they said they had worked on a black unit and not the blue and rose watch I sent in. So was my watch even attended to, or was it easier to just ask me to pay for a new one?
After communicating how unhappy I was with their service they offered to upgrade my watch, for another R1100! I have already paid R8500 for a watch that should have cost R6000!
I did ask that if I pay the R2500 for a replacement if I could get another full year warranty on the watch (it is a brand new watch after all). But they said no. This doesn't boast confidence from Garmin's about their products.
I am hugely disappointed with my experience of Garmin both as a product and a brand.
