Garmin South Africa - How to loose another loyal customer.
Recently a strap of a Garmin device, entry level device, and out of warranty broke. As the strap of this specific Garmin device is not available to buy as a spare part, device need to be sent to Garmin for repair,we asked Garmin SA via email and social media to please let us know costs of replacing strap,as device is rather entry level, and therefore no use to spend more on a new strap for device than what device is actually worth. Garmin SA is unable to supply estimate without sending device to them. I now have to pay a courrier company to send device in for quotation, and then,if replacement strap is more costly than what i have originally paid for device, and therefore not accept quotation,i need to pay courrier again in order to get device back to me.
