Garmin SA unable/wont fix my Garmin Index Smart Scale

I purchased a Garmin Index Smart Scale on the 11 July 2017. Just over 1 year later and my Index scale stopped syncing. I tried resetting it etc but nothing worked. I booked it in to Garmin South Africa at their Rosebank offices, only to receive feedback that Garmin SA does not fix the scales if they are out of their 12 month warranty.

How can Garmin not fix their own products.

This issue was due to a defected product by Garmin.

My scale was in immaculate condition.

Such Pathetic service from Garmin South Africa.

I will never buy another Garmin product !!
