Garmin does not know their own products

Less than a month ago I contacted Garmin at [Email Removed] to ask if I could update the maps on my Garmin Nuvi1200. I was told that the model is obsolete and that I would have to purchase an updated model. Yesterday quite out of the blue I received an e-mail from Garmin USA and they updated my maps free of charge.<br> I do not appreciate being so grossly misinformed by Garmin SA and fact I am tempted to use stronger words but do not have anything in writing so they could simply deny it ever happened. The local office is pathetic to say the least and that is why RSA will never be a winning country with that sort of attitude towards their customers. I am thinking of making a report to the regulatory bodies to enable them to undertake a proper investigation.
