FR70 one month to repair, disputing warranty
I took my Garmin FR70 back to Sportsmans Warehouse Gateway on 28th December, as the display was defective. I had all the original packaging, including the box with the R1,700.00 price tag. I could not find my till slip. I had a copy of my bank statement showing the date / Sportsmans Warehouse, and R1,700 purchase price. I contacted Sportsmans Warehouse after 2 weeks to find that the battery needed replacing, and I authorized them to go ahead on 16th January 2015. I had to follow up again on 22 January and was advised that Garmin refused to honour the 1 year warranty as my credit card statement was not proof of payment. I addressed an email to Sportsmans Warehouse, who passed it onto Garmin. I again contacted Sportsmans Warehouse on 26th January 2015 and was advised that Garmin had still not done the battery swop out and the watch was still in Johannesburg. I again expressed my dissatisfaction. I addressed an email to [Email Removed] on Friday 30th January 2015 and received no response. On Monday 2nd February 2015, I put a comment on Garmin SA's Facebook page and it has now been deleted by them.

It has now been a month, and I still do not have my watch back.
