Foschini hurts Garmin

Hi this is a follow up to my initial complaint NOT GARMIN directly but TFG.

I had to hound The Foschini Group for a response to their advertising a Garmin and then retracting. My first enquiry was since you’re out of stock, will the price change as soon as new stock arrives? They after three weeks responded on Facebook Messenger to say that the item was part of stock clearance.

THERE WAS NO SUCH STIPULATION IN THEIR ONLINE ADVERT.

Thus I think we need to be cautious about online advertising. By the way I tried to get the Garmin Fenix 5S and they are pulling the same stunt with other Garmin devices. TFG is going to hurt the Garmin brand and I stated as such to Garmin on Facebook-after all it is your product they are marketing. TFG don’t care about Hello Peter though. Garmin Tech support is super responsive super competent and reply timeously. It’s a pity I cannot share my screenshot here.
