Forerunner 35 Strap

I had a shocking experience with my Garmin Forerunner 35, The small band that keeps the strap from flapping broke. Guess what?? I cannot get another one without replacing the strap. The watch is still under guarantee but I was told by Sportsman Warehouse that the strap carries no guarantee. The strap will cots in the region of R500. I have to pay R500 for a R10 part,. I always thought Garmin was a good company. They are not! No reputable company will "cheat" people like they are doing!! I will avoid Garmin in feature.
