Don't buy Garmin - Products not repairable

I have a Garmin nevi 1310 and the glass has cracked. Garmin SA state that it is now on the unsupported list and they will not repair it. They want me to buy a new Garmin instead!! When I told them that I can source a screen from overseas, they warned me against doing that! They would rather that I throw a functioning device away (except for the cracked screen) and buy a new device!<br> <br> Can you believe that? I wonder what Garmin US says about that kind of attitude.<br>
