Disappointing Garmin Service - Lack of Communication and Support

I was advised that there is no Garmin support center in Cape Town, and I was instructed to courier my device to their Rosebank office. I sent my device over a week ago and have received no confirmation of its receipt. I have emailed them multiple times and tried to contact them with no luck. Do I assume my device is lost or ******?
