After sale service Garmin South Africa

I have contacted Garmin South Africa 4 times to arrange repair of my 13month old Garmin wrist band smar****ch. Only after the fourth time, they rep**** asking me to deal with a retailer as they unable to assist. The retailer on the other hand, told me that Garmin takes up to 4 to 6 weeks to replace my faulty strap as there is no service center in Cape Town. Ironically competitor brands are able to do repairs in 1 week.

Lesson learned: think twice before purchasing that expensive Garmin as after sale service don't exist!
