2 weeks and still waiting... Extremely bad after sales service
Garmin Rosebank is not open to walk-ins anymore therefore I phoned and the agent told me to get my watch fixed I must send it to sportsmans, because it would be the quickest and I'll be without my watch for about 3 days. I drove from the east of JHB to Rosebank to drop it of 2 weeks ago Tuesday. After numerous unanswered emails and calls to Garmin I eventually got hold of an agent a week after booking my device in as I have no official message that the received it. He can not give me feedback as my watch is there but not looked at yet. I will unfortunately not get notified by them but by the middle man. I can however email them but lead time is 2 days, bear in mind I haven't even got a response back since the device was booked in. I only took it to sportsmans because I was told it's the quickest as they collect there daily. How can checking a device take 2 weeks, now to wait for a report to be send to sportsmans and then to myself, then to approve the quote might - there be one - and then Garmin probably only read the email from Sportsmans 2 days later if I'm lucky. How long more without a device. This is ridiculous. The problem with the watch is that the charger is not connecting, it has been a problem since day one and I didn't realize it shouldn't be a mission until I couldn't get it to charge at all anymore and I was told that it must just connect easily so I sent it in.
