UNHAPPY SERVICE GARIEP MOTORS (NEW VAAL MOTORS) KIMBERLEY

We bought a 2015 C180 brand new in Aug 2015, only travel long distance when it is possible, resulting in the Benz having less than 60 000 km on the odo. In 2019 we reported a knocking sound right front on the car and up to date, it cannot be found - we drove with a technician and identified the sound which he also heard - still there, no repair. There is a knock on the steering - this apparently is normal. ..... This was complained about a few times - Gariep said they had a more qualified technician flown in to Kimberley to inspect that - as said, apparently that is normal. We told them of a rumble noise in the automatic gearbox - we cannot travel with it, too scared that this will cause more serious damages - Gariep says they are waiting on manuals... The rear shock absorbers are said to be replaced, don't think so, left rear has a knocking noise that scared us last time we were privileged enough to drive it...

In 2019 the balloon-option we signed, expired and because we know the car and it barely has any km's on the clock, we decided to keep it - the warranty expires August 2021 and it feels like all these complaints are left until this lapse and they can just get rid of the car.

We obviously had to buy it again after the balloon payments were done, so we do have monthly premiums and insurance fees and tracker fees for a car we are too scared to drive because the dealership just don't care. When complaints are mailed, they get ignored, and I dont think any client's complaint should just be left unanswered just because you got your payment for a product you had on your floor ?? Really sad about this and in a way feeling bad about complaining about it on such a huge platform, but this has to be taken somewhere where we can be heard. And not just a call from a call centre asking if we are okay with the service advisor's service delivery - they anyway call you up and ask why such a bad raiting.

Mercedes Benz had stood the good name for quality and endurance for years ! Think it best that our Benz be withdrawn and replaced.

Also a pity that this business is not claimed on Hellopeter
