Overpriced and Overwatered

I haven't visited a GardenShop aside from the one in Parkhurst North (near Rosebank) so my experience is in relation to that store. While the employees are super friendly and always willing to help, the prices are on average 50% higher for indoor decorative pots (-1 star), and 25% higher for plants and soil/soil components (-1 star). The terracotta pots are quite reasonably priced though. However, all of their indoor plants (and some of their outdoor plants) are extremely overwatered! (-1 star) Every time I have visited the store there are rows of yellowing plants with mushy roots. These plants are watered every day in water-retaining soil and plastic pots, and more often than not you will be taking home a plant that is already on its deathbed (especially drought-tolerant plants such as the Chinese Evergreens, Snake Plants, and ZZ Plants). I don't know if I'll ever buy a plant there again. My trips are now only for their terracotta pots.
