Unsatisfactory quality of clothing item from Gant

I have bought a winter jacket R 4000 in Gant Menlyn and within a period of six months it started showing discoloration and pilings. I took the jacket back to the shop and the shop escalated the issue to their quality department and their response is that it's wear and tear and not defects and my complain is that their clothing is only good enough to wear for six months at that price I think it's reap off.
