Wrongfully Accused

If there was no stars I would have given that rating. Today 25th September 2020 my nephew was at the Game store in Kenilworth center. He went into the shop with nothing, no packets or trolley. He was looking at the pricing of a pressure washer, vacuum and car wash accessories as he is starting his own business. He noticed a security guard following him but didn't think much of it and decided to leave once he obtained his totals.

As he was walking towards the exit, the security at the door called him and said that man (the security guard that had been following him) is calling you. The security then asked him, "Can I search you?". Whenhe asked why the security then rep**** and said he can't talk in front of everyone and rep**** "I don't like to talk in front of people."

My nephew said they took him to the back of the store, to some section or room. He asked a reason as to why he needs to be searched. He was not given a reason and told to put his arms up instead. As they searched his person, my nephew took his phone out his pocket and tried to record what was happening or get a photo of the the security who continued to full-body search him. They found nothing, then left him just standing there. No reason or apology that he was accused of *****ing. The security did not even offer to walk him out. Nothing.

I am very disappointed by this whole incident, he is a honest young man starting a business venture. The first place he chose was Game, but instead of finding the proper tools he got being treated like a ******** instead.

My real question is why is everyone with a mask not being searched. Where did the security get his tipoff that my nephew apparently stole something. So now his being judged by the way he was dressed, which according to how the security guard behaved and treated him, was like as a *****.

A simple sorry is not good enough for us . As a family, we fear that anything could've happened in this situation. Nobody is safe in this day and age. Why was a 3rd party not present during the search. Are your security guards adequately trained to assess potential threats? Is there a security team monitoring the cameras and keeping the floor team informed? Were the proper health and safety protocols followed during his full body search?

Is this how you treat our future entrepreneurs and leaders?
