Why no stock when you run a special........

I went to Game in Cape Gate for a 3g contract special where you get two 7" tablets on one contract. This was just a few days after the special started and the special is on for a whole month. The lady told me they have only one tablet but might get stock at the end of the week. I went the weekend again and another lady told me they didn't have any tablets. The lady phoned other game branches located at N1 City, Century City, Tyger Valley and another one I can't remember where. None of them had any either. How can you run a special and none of your stores covering most of the northern suburbs in Cape Town don't have any stock? I must say it is quite disappointing. I had a similar experience approximately two years ago also with Game when I wanted to take out a cellphone contract.
